Electronic Design Engineer Mobile Computing
The successful applicant will work on the development of powerful processor platforms, which are part of our mobile, battery-operated surveying solutions. This includes all of the latest technologies, such as efficient processors (e.g. ARM Cortex A8/A9), storage devices (Mobile SDRAM, Flash, SD cards, etc.), interfaces (RS232, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, etc.), wireless links (Bluetooth, WLAN, UHF radios, special 2.4 GHz radios, GSM/UMTS), cameras, display/touch, keyboards, audio, etc.
Your wide range of duties includes everything from the development of electronic assemblies to the provision of the related software close to hardware level in C/C++. You will also create suitable test environments for the qualification and production of a given module or system. During development, you will also serve as a contact for suppliers and partners.
Qualifications
- Degree in electronics engineering (BSc, MSc or PhD or equivalent)
- Experience in developing complex embedded hardware, especially high-performance processor systems
- Solid understanding of how to handle design, simulation and test tools as well as methods for ensuring higher design and product quality
- Good knowledge of and experience with the development of software close to hardware level (C/C++)
- Good spoken and written English skills
