Cognos BI Specialist

Role :

Ensure the successful delivery of the following services :

BI related maintenance services to zones which include Change management, implementation coordination and sustain for the Global Reporting systems.

Service Ownership of the Shared Reporting platforms (CDC Cognos).

Provide technical support for Cognos Reporting to the project teams and Regions (RGOs).

Proactively manage the Cognos Reporting environments and ensure continuous availability.

Update and maintain the relevant documentation.

This is achieved by supporting users on all aspects of business intelligence for Cognos platforms.



Tasks :

Ensure that the Cognos-based reporting solutions which the team is accountable for is running smoothly without disruptions ;

Ensure that new requirements and changes are implemented within agreed time, cost and quality parameters via a controlled release process ;

Support, advise, troubleshoot and facilitate development of Cognos BI solutions with other ISIT AS project managers who are not familiar with the business intelligence / reporting solutions ;

Ensure proper stakeholder management.



Profile :

Good knowledge of: Cognos BI 8.4 (Report Studio – Analysis Studio – Query Studio – Powerplay Studio – Framework Manager – Transformer – Powerplay Studio – Powerplay Client)

SAP BI

MS SQL Reporting Services- Analysis Services- Integration Services

Excellent English writing and editing skills.



Must have at least the equivalent of a Swiss degree of ETS/HES (B.Sc.).
